IONM Specialist

Our client is seeking a full-time IONM Specialist to join their hospital-based intraoperative neuromonitoring team in Charleston, SC. This team supports both Adult and Pediatric Services, and CNIM is required. Candidates with complex case experience are strongly preferred.

What You'll Do

• Perform multimodality neurophysiologic monitoring during spinal, cranial, vascular, and peripheral nerve procedures
• Apply modalities including SSEPs, MEPs, BAERs, EEG, and EMG
• Collect, analyze, and communicate intraoperative data to support surgical decision-making in real time
• Ensure all monitoring equipment is calibrated and functioning before and during procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital and departmental protocols for patient safety
• Participate in the call rotation and respond to emergent surgical cases as needed

What We're Looking For

• CNIM (Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring) required
• Bachelor's degree in health science; or an Associate's degree or CAAHEP-accredited END program completion with one or more neurodiagnostic registries (R. EEG T., R. EP T., R. NCS T.)
• Intraoperative monitoring experience, ideally including complex cases such as scoliosis, cranial/skull base, MVD, and carotid endarterectomy
• Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures
• Current BLS certification through the AHA or American Red Cross
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and call
