About the Role

EEG Technologists are responsible for conducting high-quality electroencephalogram studies in clinical and ambulatory settings. In this role, you will prepare patients, apply electrodes using standard 10–20 placement, record brain activity, and support interpreting clinicians with clean, accurate data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for EEG recordings — explain the procedure, take a brief clinical history, and apply electrodes using the international 10–20 system
• Monitor and document seizure activity, sleep stages, and any other neurophysiologic events during the study
• Operate EEG equipment correctly; troubleshoot electrode and amplifier issues in real time
• Perform activation procedures (hyperventilation, photic stimulation) when clinically indicated
• Maintain clear, accurate clinical documentation for review by the reading neurologist
• Clean and maintain EEG equipment and the patient environment between studies

Qualifications

• R. EEG T. credential preferred; ABRET-eligible candidates considered
• Graduate of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology program, or equivalent clinical experience
• Current AHA CPR / BLS certification
• Working knowledge of EEG waveforms, artifacts, and clinical correlations
• Strong patient-care skills and attention to detail
• Comfort working independently and within a multidisciplinary team
